Amanvana means peaceful wilderness. Aman is peace and vana is wilderness. We have run the resort on the banks of the River Kaveri in Kushalnagar, Coorg, since 2009, and three things guide how we run it.
Quiet
Every bungalow stands on its own, with a private courtyard, a lotus pond and a reading nook, set in the gardens. There is space between you and the next guest, and the loudest thing most mornings is the birds.
Care
You get a welcome drink when you arrive. Tell us it is a birthday or an anniversary and we will decorate your bungalow. When you come back, our team remembers you and what you like.
Respect for nature
The gardens have more than 300 varieties of fruit trees, and they draw a lot of birds. We look after the land in practical ways:
- Rainwater harvesting
- Our own sewage treatment plant
- Electric car charging for guests
A taste of Coorg
We want you to leave knowing Coorg a little better. The Rainbow Room serves Kodava dishes such as pandi curry. The Coffee Hut pours coffee from our own plantation, and we can arrange a free coffee estate visit nearby. The river treks and island picnics start at the resort.
